Who Am I?

My name is Karen Brockman and I am the force behind Sound Support Virtual Assistance.

Supporting your business IS my business!  I am at my best in a supporting role.  I have developed my networking, organizational skills and software knowledge as an administrative support professional working with high level and upper management executives for over 15 years in the corporate world.  The industries I have worked in include:  aerospace, real estate development, computer sales and marketing, software development, catalog sales, health care, accounting, insurance and financial planning, and both public and private schools.  This work experience has allowed me to develop the skills, training and business acumen that are the hallmarks of a qualified virtual assistant.

I am dedicated to being a life-long learner. My VA services will continue to expand as I learn new software and explore new and innovative solutions to help support you and your business.

I completed my virtual assistant training from Assist University, the premier training organization for virtual assistants, in 2008. This program is a comprehensive and rigorous 20-week program, inclusive of over 200 hours of classes, testing and field work and is designed for administrative professionals who already have a background in administrative support. It adds another dimension — the virtual aspect – learning to work with clients no matter where they are located.

I started my VA business as a generalist and I have since focused on a niche market, working with speakers.  In 2012 I enrolled in further training that qualified me as a certified Professional Virtual Speaker’s Assistant.

My resources include several hundred virtual assistant colleagues who work together in a supportive virtual community. My colleagues and I have the ability to summon each other and collaborate on challenges in our businesses and swap new information about our profession through our virtual community network. We may work individually as solo practitioners in our businesses but we certainly don’t work alone. This benefits us as professionals to do our best work for clients. You, as my client, benefit from the collective resources of over 500 professional virtual assistants.

I am committed to:

  • helping you reach your target audience with your unique message
  • creating the most value by partnering for the long term
  • helping you achieve your business goals

If the idea of having a virtual assistant resonates with you, and you would like to explore how we can work together, please contact me here for a complimentary 30 minute consultation.

Karen is technically astute, an excellent researcher, and superb at keeping track of our work together. If you need some help with the technical administrative aspects (and everything else) of your business, I highly recommend Karen!
